How can we help?

FAQ

How do I tighten the paddle adjustment?

If you’re finding that your paddle does not stay locked in place, it’s a simple fix with no tools necessary. When the clamp is in the unlocked (open) position, simply turn it in the clockwise direction to tighten the connection. It might feel like it catches on the plastic, but it is designed to do this so it does not spin freely. Gently spin the plastic clamp one full revolution to start and you’ll see that the screw causes the clamp to pinch more tightly on the paddle, locking the handle in place.

I know it’s called a SUP but I’d prefer to sit. Does that work on your boards?

Absolutely! The versatility of our boards enable paddlers to enjoy the water with many different riding styles. Whether you like to sit, stand, kneel, or anything in between, our cushioned EVA deck foam pads provide long lasting comfort. Plus, with our optional Comfort Cushion Seat and Convertible Kayak Paddle, you can convert your Alliance HD or Scout Series board to a kayak!

Is Stand-Up Paddle Boarding Hard?

Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) is generally considered an activity that is relatively easy to learn. Most beginners are able to stand up on the board and paddle within a short amount of time. The learning curve is not steep, and people of various ages and fitness levels can enjoy it.

However, it's important to note that certain factors can affect the difficulty level. Paddle boarding in calm and flat water is easier than in choppy conditions or strong currents. Balancing on the board requires some core strength and stability, but with a bit of practice, most people can find their balance and enjoy the experience.

Difference between Inflatable Paddle Board and Regular Paddle Board?

The main difference between inflatable paddle boards and regular (rigid) paddle boards lies in their construction and portability.

Inflatable Paddle Board: Inflatable boards are made of PVC or similar materials and can be inflated with air to provide rigidity. They are typically around 4-6 inches thick when fully inflated, offering stability and buoyancy on the water. Inflatable paddle boards are easily transportable, as they can be deflated and rolled up into a compact size for storage or transportation.

Regular Paddle Board: Regular paddle boards, also known as hardboards, are made from a solid piece of material such as epoxy or fiberglass. They offer a more rigid and responsive feel on the water, providing better performance in terms of speed and maneuverability. However, they are bulkier and less portable compared to inflatable boards.

Are inflatable paddle boards worth it?

Yes, inflatable paddle boards are worth it for many people due to their portability, easy storage, and durability.

They are convenient for travel and transportation and can provide a stable experience, particularly for beginners.

What are the disadvantages of inflatable paddle boards?

Inflatable paddle boards can be slower on the water and require time and effort for inflation and deflation.

But the inflation piece can be drastically shorten with our Electric Pump.

How to inflate ROC paddle board?

This is found in your User Manual and Safety Guide here.

  1. Remove the valve cap and ensure that the pin is in the closed (up) position. To do so, simply press and twist the pin to open and close the valve.Note: even though the valve is closed, air will still flow in-just not out!
  2. Insert the pump hose into the air valve and twist clockwise. The fittings on the hose should lock and remain in place when positioned properly.
  3. Your package includes a dual action manual hand pump for inflation of your paddle board. Closing and opening the valve toggles between high capacity/dual action and high pressure/single action modes, respectively.
  4. NOTE: It is recommended to use the dual action setting from 0-10 PSI and the high pressure setting from 10-15 PSI.
  5. Placing the pump on a flat level surface, begin to pump the board with steady even strokes. Continue pumping until the pressure gauge on the top of the pump reads between 10 and 15 psi (0.7 and 1.0 bar). NOTEI The board can appear inflated at approximately 3 PSI but the gauge may not read until -5 PSI.
  6. Note: the working pressure for the paddle board may be lower when used in direct sunlight,so use less pressure if extended periods of bright sunshine are expected.
  7. Using a counterclockwise motion, twist the pump nozzle to remove the hose from the air valve. You will hear a small burst of air when you remove the hose; this is normal. Replace and secure the valve cap with a clockwise twist.

We strongly suggest downloading your User Manual and Safety Guide here.
